Water Diet

So a while ago I made a post on bottled water vs tap water, and I guess the consensus is that tap water isn't that bad for you. Either way, I have decided to go on a water diet for the next 5 days and see how that goes. I won't only be drinking water since my stomach rumbles and I get hungry, but I will make sure to intake at least 2 liters of water just by itself each day, plus whatever I get from the food I eat. I am not sure what effect this will have on me so I guess we'll just have to see. I'll keep you posted as I move forward.

Fall Fashion

Ok guys, I'm here with some Fall Fashion tips to keep you fashionable as we in the North American Union transition into winter. First off, make sure to wear turtleneck sweaters. Not only will these attract both men and women, but you'll also be warm and cozy from neck to stomach. Additionally, make sure to wear pants to keep extra warm. You may also want to wear a baseball hat of a baseball team or maybe a football (like real football not soccer) team hat so that you can keep your head warm while letting everyone know who you're cheering for when you sit at home, alone, wasting time staring at a screen for hours on end. That's it for now, make sure to support and check back here often for more tips.

AP Physics

So, I'm enrolled in AP Physics at my high school, and I must say it's very interesting. We've taken two tests this year, I've managed an 85% on both so I'm pretty happy about that. We're starting to learn about forces and stuff, it's pretty cool to get to apply all of this math that you never thought you'd use to the real world. I'm curious though, have any of you guys taken Physics or AP Physics, and if so, do you have any tips for me?

Gaming Update 9/20/10

Well, it's finally over, I've beaten Final Fantasy VI. I have to say, it was a great game, I really enjoyed the end dungeon and all the bosses the game threw at me. I did some extreme grinding though, so they didn't really pose that much of a problem. In fact, none of the bosses there killed me, only the random enemy encounters did! However, as I mentioned before, I'm playing the Game Boy Advance version, so it looks like I still have another dungeon called the Dragons' Den and something called the Soul Shrine to go back and beat.

Gaming Update 9/17/10

Ok guys, so I'm back with another gaming update on FFVI. I finished up all the sidequests and am now just level grinding so that I am able to take on the final dungeon and the final boss, Kefka. It's not too thrilling, but I am building up some powerhouses that will be indispensable at the end of the game. Sabin in particular is a big damage dealer with his Phantom Rush (playing GBA version btw) blitz, and I'm having Terra and Celes be my big magic users. I'm also guessing that Edgar and Cyan will be in my top tier of characters. Others, on the other hand, such as Strago, Relm, and Umaro, aren't going to be used much, if at all. That's it for now, I'll update you guys some more later once I get started on the final dungeon.

ACT Testing

Last week on 9/11 I took the ACT college admission test or whatever it's called for the third and final time. I'm not sure if I needed to retake it, but I figured I might as well one more time before all this college application crap begins. My first time I got my highest score, a 30, and the second I got something like a 29. I was feeling pretty good coming off of this third test, so I'm hoping I did a little better than before. Have any of you guys taken the ACT test?

Gaming Update 9/13/10

Ok guys so I've been playing farther into FFVI, I've gotten past the continent of ruin or whatever it's called and am now doing a bunch of side quests to get all my characters back and get ready for the end game. It's pretty fun, there are lots of new magics to learn so grinding is pretty interesting. I accidentally Shadow though, it's my first time playing so I didn't know any better so it's probs ok. Definitely recommend this game still, my bros got any recommendations for games to play when I'm finished with this one?

Movie Review - Reservoir Dogs

Hey guys, I recently watched the movie Reservoir Dogs and I'm here to give a review on it. It's a crime film, and more importantly, the debut of director Quentin Tarantino. The movie is pretty engaging in that it shows events leading up to and immediately after, but not during the execution of an armed robbery of a jewelery store. The movie opens with the group of men eating breakfast at a diner right before they go do the robbery, and right after the opening credits it shows one man driving a car with another man lying in the back seat, bleeding to death. I really enjoyed how the story was told, with a combination of flashbacks and conversation describing what lead up to and transpired during the robbery. The characters deduce pretty early on that there's a good chance that one of them was an inside cop, and there's a lot of suspense built as details are shared between characters and the pieces of the puzzle fall together. There's also a fair amount of action and intense standoffs, which also contribute to the suspense of the movie. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this movie to fans of Tarantino's other movies, as well as people who enjoy crime movies with a lot of suspense.

Coca Cola - Love It Or Hate It?

So I'm curious as to how other people view Coca Cola, and pop (or soda for you non midwestern peeps) in general. I'm sure we've all heard the horror stories about insulin bursts and the like, but do we buy into that? Or, instead, do we say "screw it" and just drink pop anyway cause it's so good? I'm curious about how other people feel about this, and also, what's your favorite pop as well? I love Mountain Dew, especially the Voltage and the new Whiteout flavors.

Movie Review - Tropic Thunder

Alright guys I'm back with another movie review, this time it's Tropic Thunder. Released in 2008, Tropic Thunder follows a group of actors filming a Vietnam war movie that are dropped off in the middle of nowhere and have to find the soldier in them to find their way back. It's a pretty funny movie with Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr. that pokes fun at the movie industry and actors that take themselves too seriously. Robert Downey Jr. is one of the funniest guys in the movie in my opinion, as his character in the movie is playing a black character in the Tropic Thunder movie that they're filming, and it gets pretty funny because there's another character that's acting in the movie that actually is black. Overall I'd definitely recommend it, it's a great action-comedy.

Metroid Other M - Should I get it?

Metroid Other M was released a couple days ago I believe, the only thing I've seen on it are the trailers and it looks pretty cool imo. I was wondering if any of you guys have bought it, or at least played it? I need some recommendations on this game from my bros, and if there's any other tight Wii or PS3 games that have recently come out or are coming out soon, let me know about those too.

Movie Review - V For Vendetta

Alright guys, today I'm going to be giving my review on the movie V For Vendetta, starring Hugo Weaving as V and Natalie Portman as Evey. I watched this movie Friday night, and I have to say that I enjoyed it a lot. I had not read the graphic novels before watching it, but I think I might go back now and check them out. Anyway, the movie is about a guy in a Guy Fawkes mask that goes by the name of V and runs around fighting an oppressive government. It starts with him blowing up the Old Bailey on Guy Fawkes Night (November 5th), and then the movie follows him around for a year while he does some other stuff and attempts to blow up Parliament the next Guy Fawkes Night. I think the acting was pretty good, as well as the fight scenes and stuff. It also had some good messages for the audience. Overall I'd recommend that you see this movie, it's definitely one of the best films of our time.

Gaming Update 9/3/10

Hey guys, how are all of you? It's been a couple of days since my last gaming update so I figured I'd do another. I'm still playing Final Fantasy VI, I'm currently at the World of Ruin. It's pretty tough, I'm planning on spending a lot of time just grinding so that I'm able to do the next parts of the game with relative ease. I've already tried the Ultima Weapon battle, he's still a little tough for me so I'm figuring I need to level up more. I'll make sure to report back in when I start progressing through the story some more. See all of you guys later :)
